Women, Peace and Security (WPS)-3 Course conducted by BIPSOT from 04-09 May 2015.

Aim. To introduce concepts and to promote a better understanding of the Women Peace and Security in the Peacekeeping Operation Strategy, protection structures and mechanisms at tactical level.

English Language Course (ELC)-2 has been started at BIPSOT from 03 Aug 2014 to 02 Oct 2014.

Bangladesh Institute of Peace Support Operation Training (BIPSOT) is going to organize English Language Course (ELC)-2 for the Myanmar Armed Forces Personnel from 03 Aug 2014 to 02 Oct 2014. Total 20 officers are likely to join the course.

United Nations (UN) Logistic Officers’ Course (UNLOC)-10 from 04 January, 2015.

United Nations (UN) Logistic Officers’ Course (UNLOC)-10 conducted at BIPSOT in two phases: 1st phase (On Line) will be conducted from 04 January to 08 January 2015 and 2nd phase (In house) will be conducted at BIPSOT from 11 January to 22 January 2015.

Security Sector Reform (SSR) course-2 from 16 August to 20 August 2015.

Bangladesh Institute of Peace Support Operation Training (BIPSOT) in collaboration with the International Security Sector Advisory Team (ISSAT), Geneva Switzerland will conduct Security Sector Reform (SSR) Course -2 from 16 August to 20 August 2015. The Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has mandated ISSAT to conduct the course at BIPSOT. Total 25 officers from Bangladesh Armed Forces, Bangladesh Police, foreign countries and from other (Civil Admin) organization are expected to join the course.

Aim. To enhance participants’ understanding of Security Sector Reform objectives, frameworks and processes in order to contribute effectively to Security Sector Reform initiatives in Peace Operations.

Course Objectives.

The learning objectives are as follows:

a.    Increased knowledge on key characteristics of SSR.
b.    Better understanding the challenges of working in post conflict or fragile contexts and how to overcome them.
c.    Increased awareness of linkages between SSR and Peace Support Operations.
