The 26th IAPTC Annual Conference was hosted by BIPSOT, Bangladesh for the 3rd time from 31 October 2022 with the theme ‘Peace operations in the Digital Era-Opportunities and Challenges for the Global Training Community’. In this conference total 237 participants from 52 Countries participated. The inaugural ceremony was graced by the honorable minister of home affairs, the people’s republic of Bangladesh. The ceremony was also ornamented by the kind presence of Chief of Army Staff, Bangladesh Army, Military Advisor and Deputy Police Advisor, Department of Peace Operations, and other senior officials from the Armed forces and Bangladesh Police. In the conference, 52 distinguished keynote speakers from the global peacekeeping community shared their insights on contemporary issues, which were grouped under 11 sessions. Many of the speakers were connected virtually. In all the sessions, the topics were discussed from military, police, civilian, as well as institutional and field mission’s perspective. Besides the usual academic sessions, BIPSOT tour was organized for the visitors. Ideas, innovations, books and best practices of 16 national and international institutions, organizations and peace training centers were also displayed during the Ideas Bazaar.

An attractive Event of showcasing the culture, heritage and history of Bangladesh was arranged. Along with that, Bangladesh Army, Navy, Air Force and Police arranged hardware display showcasing own capabilities in conducting the peacekeeping operations. A mesmerizing cultural evening made the annual conference highly colorful and memorable. Colourful reception and formal conference dinners were arranged for the participants where the participants enjoyed diverse cuisine. Closing Ceremony of this mega event was graced by the Chief of Army Staff, Bangladesh Army. However, on successful completion of this unique multinational event, Commandant, BIPSOT took over as the new president of this prestigious association.
