Engagement Platoon Train The Trainers (EP T3) Course-1 (Duration: 01 – 12 Mar 2026)

Joining Instruction

Aim of the Course.    To prepare selected participants for training of future UN Engagement Platoon leaders and members, incorporated within the Battalions deployed to UN peacekeeping missions.

The objectives of the course are as follows:

a.    Develop awareness and understanding of the responsibilities and roles of the UN-EP to effectively operate in peacekeeping operations with a Protection of Civilians mandate.
b.    Create an understanding of the complexity and characteristics of the operational environment in today’s conflicts and the UN-EP’s role in an integrated mission.
c.    Enhance the presentation and facilitation skills of participants with a focus on facilitating Scenario-Based Exercises in the classroom and training area.
d.    Demonstrate the ability to deliver UN-EP RTP lessons and activities.
e.    Understand the elements of Protection of Civilians, including Conflict-Related Sexual Violence and Child Protection, and develop skills and the ability to respond to these issues.
f.    Enhance understanding of the importance of addressing various cross-cutting issues including Human Rights and  Women, Peace and Security. 
g.    Develop the resource of female officers and soldiers to enhance effectiveness of operations to protect civilians, particularly in community engagement and information gathering.
